Alisha Thorpe is a model, poet, creative entrepreneur and educator. Born and raised in Spanish Town (big up di 876!), she’s not just another pretty face. She is a woman on a mission. What is that mission? To provide structure to the creative industry in Jamaica.
From walking barefoot around the yard to running businesses, Alisha is the definition of beauty and brains. She started modeling in her teens but quickly realized her purpose was bigger than the camera lens. With a passion for mentorship, mental health advocacy, and making space for creatives, she’s building an empire for creatives to succeed.
“My Model University (MU), a new institution founded in 2024, has set the tone for an exciting future with rapid growth, becoming a local and international player in the modelling industry.
She aims to provide comprehensive training and exposure to young creatives in Jamaica, ensuring they can thrive on the global stage.
A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, her deep understanding of the modelling industry and her commitment to excellence have been the driving forces behind MU’s inception and swift rise.”
